Advantage Engineers completed a comprehensive asbestos building inspection for the redevelopment of a shopping center in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. The property consisted of a 160,000 square foot shopping mall, which was divided into nineteen (19) separate retail areas, a 1,170 square foot drive-thru bank and a 5,807 square foot retail building.
The inspection was completed by state licensed asbestos building inspectors and consisted of a visual and tactile review of all suspect building materials. These materials were submitted to a National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) approved laboratory for analysis and tested using Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) Method EPA 600/R-93/116. Results, conclusions, and recommendations regarding the location and amount of all ACMs were provided in preparation for abatement specifications and demolition permits.
