Advantage Engineers provided geotechnical engineering services, construction observation services, and retaining wall design for a cold storage plant in Camp Hill, PA. The project consisted of a 161,877 SF structure, comprised of steel-frame and masonry construction.
Advantage evaluated the engineering characteristics of the subsurface soils and bedrock in order to supplement the existing geotechnical data and provide final foundation design criteria and construction recommendations for the project.
Our scope of work included:
- Review of existing subsurface data (i.e. test boring and test pit logs)
- Completion of a detailed subsurface field investigation
- Laboratory testing program
- Preparation of a geotechnical engineering report
- Retaining wall design
In addition, Advantage provided environmental engineering services for the 38 acre property. This included a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and Wetland Determination.
