Commercial Building Site Assessment and UST Removal
Advantage Engineers completed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and Underground Storage Tank (UST) Removal at the subject property on behalf of a leading national bank. The property consisted of a 15,000 SF multi-purpose commercial building situated on an approximate .66 acre parcel. During our investigation, an approximate 1,000 gallon UST was identified on the property and was anticipated to have been installed during the original development of the structure in the 1950’s. The UST was utilized for the storage of heating oil and was no longer in service. Advantage inspected the tank and it was found to still contain approximately 300 gallons of heating oil.
Based on the age of the tank and considering that it was no longer in use, Advantage recommended that the tank be pumped of it’s contents and then removed. Advantage coordinated the tank pumping and removal process and was on-site to inspect the tank and collect post excavation samples.
