Advantage Engineers partnered with High Real Estate Group, LLC to develop the next project at The Crossings at Conestoga Creek in Lancaster, PA. This is a mixed-use development combining retail, hospitality, and high-end living quarters. The project, spread across 90 acres, will include 258 residential units, a 135-room hotel and main street shopping destination in addition to Wegmans.
The retaining walls were a critical component to the project and were needed for the main access drive for the development. The Advantage Engineers team became involved in the early stages to collaborate with site designers and construction managers. There were several factors impacting this project including the size of the walls, two of them being located within the floodplain. The largest wall was also confined for space, so a wall system was used which had a limited footprint and account for curbs/guiderail and fencing near the wall.
After completion of the design, Advantage Engineers provided construction oversight to ensure the wall was constructed in accordance with the design. Having the Advantage Engineers team own the entire process made this part of construction extremely efficient.
